Stewart Lane

Corporate Manager, Renishaw PLC, Gloucestershire

Stewart graduated from the University of Hertfordshire and L’École d’Ingenieurs en Productique, France, in 1994 having been awarded a 2:1 honours degree in Manufacturing Engineering. He then spent 4 years working in the French and Swedish automotive industry as an engineer and project manager before returning to the UK and joining Renishaw PLC in 2000.

Following seven years managing technical and commercial teams in Renishaw’s Machine Tool Product Division, Stewart was promoted to Group Business Development Manager in 2011. He took General Management responsibility for the UK and Ireland sales organisation in 2013 and was appointed to Renishaw’s International Sales and Marketing Board at that time. 

In 2015 he was appointed as a non-executive director of the Manufacturing Technology Association (MTA), a UK trade association, and was also appointed to the Board of CECIMO, the European Machine Tool Association the same year. In 2018 Stewart was appointed as chair for the European Additive Manufacturing Working Group.

When he has a quiet moment, Stewart splits his time between renovating his house and coaching the local childrens’ rugby team.
